Give me vampires Give me World War III Give me revelation Sudden Entropy Give me porn star Give me certainty There's surely no connection Sudden Entropy Give me a dialectic That ends on Calvary Give me Holy Rollers Sudden Entropy Give me Chaos Theory Palpitating beat Is this why you worry? Sudden Entropy No connection... Entropy - the natural condition of the universe created by the name, the father the son and the Holy Ghost There is nothing in this world that really matters So let the urge command you.... Give me Chaos Theory Palpitating beat Is this why you worry? Sudden Entropy Let the urge command you Take me home

The Quay Love, Love Love, To treat me like you do I gave you my surrender Now it's up to you Hey, Hey, Hey Is this goodbye? No more restorations No more one more tries I'd stay, stay awhile But I can't stay with you Love will stay in motion Love will stay in motion Love will stay in motion As you lay me down I saw the ship in the harbor I saw the storm when it left the quay Maybe this will be the answer Maybe it will come today I'll stay, stay awhile, But I can't stay with you, Love will stay in motion Love will stay in motion Love will stay in motion As you lay me down

about

'Slouching Towards Babylon: Part I' was recorded between summer 2009 and early 2010. The goal for this record was to create a record with the heavy, live grooves of 70's rhythm sections which did not have the modern options of quantization, and yet to have a modern electro sound. All tracks were recorded completely live in the studio, using a 70's Neve console and 70's amps. We were assisted by Russell Graham who currently plays keys and guitar for Chic. All the subsequent sounds were then designed at our studio in Brooklyn and also recorded live. We used no midi at all for this record. We could have never done it without Russell's incredible musical and production skills

We had the help of some additional great singers and musicians as well. Vocals on 'Give It Up (Receive And Transmit)' were done by Yolanda Wyns and Terelle Tipton with scratching done by DJ Scandales. On 'Sudden Entropy' we had John James and Andricka Hall doing the backgrounds. Andee Blacksugar helped us with guitar on 'Love Will Stay In Motion'.

The record was partially mixed and mastered by Bob Power here in New York City. We choose Bob because of his legendary work with Meshell Ndegeocello, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest and Ozomatli and were really flattered when he agreed to work with us. Sudden Entropy was mixed by Tyler Wood, who plays with our friends Glass Ghost and produced and mixed their first excellent record.

Finally, the art was created by our friend Arthur Kremer of Dear Comrade, based on texture of flowers in the greenhouse of the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.

Bob once said that making records is like making sausage: you really don't want to know what goes into them. This one took a year and a half and will be completed in June 2011 (Part II will be released then). In the meantime, we played countless gigs here in Brooklyn from underground loft shows to corporate functions in order to raise funds for it. We had our friends and fans donate toward the production costs. It still ended up taking way longer than we envisioned. Russell toured the world with Roberta Flack and Ray Chew And The Crew (The Apollo House Band) and Ken spent 5 months traveling mostly through the Middle East with a State Department funded hip hop project.

So, finally it's done and we hope you enjoy it...
